Notes From Nix

Scroll of Heal: Nix determines the scroll is not tainted, which almost disappoints her. The vellum shows grave-cold residue from where it was stored, but the magic itself is clean: old, formal, divine, and merciful. Her best guess is that it was either stolen from a temple cache, taken from a priest who died below, or deliberately preserved by someone who still feared death even while serving rot. She marks it safe for use, but recommends secure storage because a true Heal scroll is colony-level emergency medicine, not expedition pocket gear.
Barnacle-Encrusted Mace from the Wharf: Nix identifies the mace as not magical, but historically useful. The barnacles and corrosion suggest long immersion near the old harbor, and beneath the crusting she finds a faint maker’s stamp and a wave-and-tower mark associated with harbor watch or temple guards. Cleaned up, it is worth modest coin as a relic, but its real value is evidentiary: The bay had an organized waterfront guard or sacred harbor militia before the Fall. She wants it kept, catalogued, and shown to Thalia, Brokk, and possibly Corvin before anyone melts it down or swings it at something.
